6th Street Crit Practice Thursday Night – 6th Street West (north of Ave M)

Thursday night road bike crit practice – meeting at 7:15pm and riding @ 7:30pm. We will meet up on Ave L-14 between 6th Street West and 7th Street West (just across from the Fire Station) just north of Ave M. It is a one mile street lit route and we will ride pace lines. It is relatively flat – one slight incline and a sloped back straight. We ride an hour to an hour and a half.

Some people come out for race training others for basic fitness. The group typically splits up into groups of riders with the same fitness. The fast group will average around 23mph. Depending on how many people show up we could have 3 groups (23mph, 20mph, 17mph averages).

The slower riders stay to the right and faster riders pass on the left so it is a safe environment. You can ride solo as well. There is accountability with riders around and no one is ever more than 3 minutes away. Weather is good right now so hopefully this will be able to continue on through spring.
