DryTown Extends Hours Due to Demand

PALMDALE – Due to popular demand, DryTown Water Park, located at 3850 E. Ave. S in Palmdale, is changing its hours of operation to remain open later in the evening for two weeks during August.  The Antelope Valley’s only water park will be open Monday through Friday, 1 to 8 pm, during the weeks of August 8 through 12 and August 15 through 19.

“We highly value the input we receive from our customers, and we had many who asked us to stay open later in the evening,” said DryTown Manager Eric Dombrowski. “We heard you loud and clear, and we’re thrilled that we’ll be staying open until 8 pm during the week to make the DryTown experience even more fun for everyone!” 

Dry Town will be open from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday, Aug. 16 and 20 and Sunday, Aug. 14 and 21.  After Aug. 21, the park will be open weekends only through Sept. 25 from 11 am to 6 pm.

Tickets and season passes are available online at www.cityofpalmdale.org/drytown, or at DryTown Water Park during normal operating hours.

Day use tickets are $13 for residents and $16 for non-residents ages 9 and above; $8 for residents and $11 for non-residents ages 3 to 8.  Children under 2 are free.  Day use tickets for Seniors 62 and over are $8 for residents and $11 for non-residents. Members of the military may purchase day use tickets for $11 and tickets for military family members ages 3 to 8 are $6.

 Season passes are also available for $56 for Palmdale residents and $67 for non-residents. Family 4-Packs are available for $189 for Palmdale residents and $229 for non-residents.

A special Twilight Rate is offered Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 6 pm through August 5, and 5:3 to 8 pm August 8 through 12 and August 15 through 19. Twilight tickets are $10 for residents and $13 for non-residents ages 9 and above; $6 for residents and $9 for non-residents ages 3 to 8 and seniors 62 years and over; $8 for members of the military.

DryTown season pass holders also receive two free admissions to Wild Rivers Waterpark in Irvine for the 2011 season, are eligible for half off fountain drinks, limeades, iced teas and classic slushes at Sonic Drive-In Restaurant, and receive free admission to ‘Sundown at DryTown’ events.“

The final “Sundown at DryTown” event will be held this Friday, Aug. 5 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Tickets for “Sundown at DryTown” are $7 for ages 9 and up, $5 for ages 3 through 8. Tickets may be purchased at the admission window on the day of each event.

DryTown is available for group activities or private rentals. Youth groups, teams, companies, family reunions, church groups, schools, fundraisers, organizations, camps and more can take advantage of our special group rates.
