Hoffman Hospice Tree Lighting Ceremony

Hoffman Hospice Tree Lighting Ceremony-

Last night at 6pm a hundred or more people all gathered together in the bitter cold, to honor a loved one or a hero. People of all ages were there, listening to the choir and drinking hot chocolate. It may have been freezing, but in the air there was a feeling of warmth and comfort. So many people of all walks of life joined together for one reason, to remember someone who has touched their lives in one way or another. There were many people as well that were there to do their part in honoring a life, even though they were not a part of Hoffman.

The evening constisted of:

Music by the West Coast Baptist College.

The Welcome Address by Roger Doyle, Hoffman Hospice Branch Director.

Opening Remarks by Mayor R. Rex Parris.

Guest Speaker Assemblyman Steve Knight.

Candle Lighting Dr. Karen Glover, Hoffman Hospice Medical Director.

Reading of Names Hoffman Staff.

Tree Lighting Tom and Beth Hoffman, Founders.

Silent Night Hoffman Staff and Guests led by the West Coast Baptist College.

Closing Remarks Roger Doyle

Benediction Joel Plantinga, Spiritual Counselor.

The evening was a beautiful way to remember or honor someone who has touched ours as wells as others during ther life.

This was Hoffman-Hospices 8th year hosting this event. The past few years they have held it at Antelope Valley Mall, so all of us here on the BLVD are honored that they would include us in this event, and we hope to have them here for many years to come!

It was a beautiful, warm, quite and heartfelt evening that we hope was a comfort to all who attended!
