The Color of the Night

Hosted by Antelope Valley Allied Arts Association
Cedar Center: 44857 Cedar Avenue
Show runs until Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

On Saturday, January 22nd, 2011, the Antelope Valley Allied Arts Association opened “The Color of Night.” Inspired by the duality of the human spirit, this show is a collection that portrays a broad perspective on the wonder of life through the eyes of individual artists. Emphasizing the dark as well as the light side that resides within us all, this show is the most poignant exhibit that the Association has ever presented.

“The Color of Night” runs until Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011. For more information, contact Michelle Navarrete at (661) 450 – 5549.

26th Anual Juried Art Exhibition hosted by Aven’s Furniture

This year’s juried exhibition will differ than those of previous years. Titled look here., the exhibition will turn The BLVD into a temporary museum.Through collaborations between LMAG, BLVD businesses and participating artists, the exhibition explores the idea that virtually any place can be designated a museum and recognized as aesthetically or historically valuable. Selected artworks will be publicly displayed in and around BLVD businesses, each with identifying signage and labels indicating that they are part of look here. The BLVD itself will be transformed into a connecting gallery through highly recognizable displays and way finding.

Plan to join us Friday February 4th from 5 to 9pm for finger food, wine and cheese.
