Farmers Market on Lancaster Blvd

Lancaster, CA. August 10, 2011 – Antelope Valley residents and visitors alike are invited to enjoy the ever-growing Farmers’ Market on The BLVD every Thursday from 3—8pm.

“Whether you stop by after work to pick up fresh produce, or spend the evening out on the town enjoying the atmosphere, the farmers’ market has something for everyone,” remarked Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris.

The year-round event has now grown past its original boundaries of Date to Ehrlich Avenue, with vendor booths stretching along The BLVD nearly to Fig Ave. Approximately a dozen vendors supply fresh fruits and vegetables, joining more than ten vendors offering pre-packaged and prepared foods. A sprinkling of arts and crafts vendors add a street-festival flair to the market.

In addition, many of the Farmers’ Markets have been enhanced by live music at BeX’s Bandstand stage beginning at 6:00 p.m. Upcoming groups include “Runaway Train” on August 18, as well as “Nuns for Fun” and “The Cruisers” September 22.
