Legacy Commons Seeks Input for New Classes

PALMDALE – The City of Palmdale is seeking input from Antelope Valley residents through a newly created survey to help determine the kinds of classes and workshops that may be offered at Legacy Commons for Active Seniors.

The survey is available on its Web site, www.cityofpalmdale.org <http://www.cityofpalmdale.org>. Printed copies may be obtained and filled out at Legacy Commons for Active Seniors, 930 East Avenue Q-9 in Palmdale. Legacy Commons is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to noon.

“We have been working with Antelope Valley College to see if we can perhaps bring to Legacy Commons some of the Corporate and Community Education workshops and classes that appeal to individuals 55 and up,” said Palmdale’s Recreation Supervisor Paula Leszkiewicz. “This survey will help us determine what the interest level is and which class or classes have the most appeal.”

Some of the classes under consideration include: The Basics of Selling on eBay,

Getting Started With Windows 7,  Creative Photo Slideshow, Connecting With Friends and Family Using Internet Social Media, Digital Photo Editing, So You Want To Get Published, Retirement Planning, The Living Trust, Credit Education, The 99-Cent Gourmet, Clutterology – Get Rid of Clutter and Get Organized, Back To Basics Traffic School, Mind & Stress Management Strategies, An Introduction to Voice Acting, Candle Making, Soap Making, Bridge and Other Card Games and Martial Arts.
